Daycare Facilities
Athena Child Development+ is a developmental learning center and day care facility at our New Kensington, PA school.
Athena uses the High Scope Learning Approach to early childhood education. Our theme/unit-based curriculum offers many interactive experiences in a supportive and caring setting. Our day care facility also provides an enriching learning experience through the vehicle of play in our nurturing childcare environment.
Our mission is to encourage each child to strive to reach his/her greatest potential by offering a variety of experiences in cognitive thinking, gross and fine motor skills, language, social/emotional and creative development. We also strive to foster independence through self-help skill acquisition. It is our intention to provide a well trained, qualified and caring staff to deliver these services to children enrolled in the program regardless of race, color, religious creed, disability, ancestry, national origin, age or sex.
