14CAMPUSSECURITYDISCLOSUREANDCAMPUSCRIMEREPORTCareerTrainingAcademystrivestomaintainasecureatmosphereforallstudentsfacultyandstaff.ReportsofanycriminalorsuspiciousactivityorotheremergencysituationsshouldbereportedtotheschoolDirectororanotherschoolofficialsothatappropriateprecautionsnotificationoractionmaybetaken.WhenanincidentofacriminalnatureoccursoriftheschoolDirectororotherschoolofficialdetainsapersonthelocalorstatepolicewillbenotified.Thepolicewillmakeallnecessaryreportsandtakewhateveractionisrequired.TheworkingrelationshipbetweenCareerTrainingAcademyandthepoliceisoneoftotalcooperation.Theirservicesareavailable24hoursadayandarefastefficientandreliable.Studentsandstaffwillbenotifiedverballyandinwritingifanyadditionalsafetyprecautionsmustbeimplemented.CareerTrainingAcademyfacilitiesarenotopentothegeneralpublic.WhenastudentorstaffmemberwishestobringavisitortotheschooltheschoolDirectormustapprovethevisitandaschoolrepresentativeisavailableforthispurpose.Thevisitormustcheckinandoutinthemainofficeonthedayofthevisit.Studentidentificationcardsnametagsareissuedtoallstudents.Studentsarerequiredtohavetheiridentificationcardswiththematalltimes.CareerTrainingAcademyhasanobligationtoupholdbothStateandFederallawsconcerningthepossessiondistributionorsaleofillegaldrugsandcontrolledsubstancesandthereforeprohibitstheuseofsuchmaterials.Theuseofalcoholicbeveragesillegaldrugsandcontrolledsubstancesbothonandoffcampusduringclasshoursisstrictlyprohibited.AnyviolationswillbesubjecttodisciplinaryactionbyCareerTrainingAcademyandappropriatelegalauthorities.StatisticspertainingtocampuscrimeareonfileintheofficeoftheschoolDirectorandcopiesareavailableuponrequest.CareerTrainingAcademyx0doesnotallowtheuseofillegaldrugsinthefacilitiesorontheproperty.Abusingthisrulewillresultinimmediatedismissalfromtheschool.InadditionthosestudentsseekingdrugoralcoholcounselingmayeitherseetheAdmissionsOfficeordirectlycallAlle-KiskiDrugandAlcoholProgram412339-6860orContactPittsburgh412782-4023.CareerTrainingAcademyrequiresallstaffandstudentstoattenddrugabuseandalcoholabuseeducationseminarspresentedonthepremiseseverysixmonths.TheseseminarsarepresentedbyTheHopeCenterandaddressallissuesrelatingtodrugandalcoholabuse.InadditionallstaffandstudentsarerequiredtosignaDrugFreeSchoolandWorkplaceStatement.CareerTrainingAcademystrivestomaintainasecureatmosphereforstudyandworkforallstudentsfacultyandstaff.StudentsfacultyandstaffarerequiredtoattendseminarspresentedbytheCenterforVictimsofViolentCrimeandorCitizensAgainstCrimepresentedonthepremiseseverysixmonths.StudentsandallothersaretoreportanycriminalactionsorotheremergenciesoccurringatornearCareerTrainingAcademytothelocalauthoritiesassoonaspossible.StudentsandemployeesshouldreportthesecrimestotheCampusLeadInstructororDirectorassoonaspossible.CareerTrainingAcademyprovidesadequatelightingaswellasemergencylighting.CareerTrainingAcademydoesnothiresecuritypersonnelthereforeyouneedtocalllocalauthoritiesifthereisaproblemwithin24hoursofoffense.TheSchooldoesnothaveanyoff-campusfacilitiesoroff-campushousing.ThereforetheSchooldoesnotmaintainapolicyforoff-campuslocations.PERSONALCONDUCTStudentsmaybeplacedonprobationorbeterminatedifintheopinionoftheLeadInstructorortheDirectortheconductwarrantsthisaction.TerminationmayoccurforcheatingfightinginsubordinationorotheroffensesthatintheopinionoftheDirectorwarrantssuchactionincludingrepeatedprobationaryperiods.CareerTrainingAcademysCodeofConductprohibitssexualharassmentsexualviolenceoranyotherinappropriatebehaviortowardanystudentclientorstaffmember.Disciplinaryactionwillbetakenasnecessarywhichincludesbutisnotlimitedtowrittenwarningandortermination.
