11Onlyinexceptionalsituationsandwithadequatedocumentationwilladependencyoverridebeapproved.AdependencyoverridewilltypicallynotbeapprovedbasedononlythefollowingsituationsThestudentnolongerlivesathomeThestudentdoesnotgetalongwiththeparentsTheparentsrefusetoprovideinformationorassistancetothestudentThestudentlivesathomeandpaysrenttotheparents.ChangesinincomeassetsandorexpensesTheserequestsoccurwhenastudentbelievesthatthefamilyx19sfinancialpositiondoesnotaccuratelyreflectitsabilitytopayorthatrecentchangesintheirfinancialsituationshouldbereviewed.TheinstitutionbelievesthattheFederalmethodologyisafaircalculationofanexpectedfamilycontribution.Veryrarelyareadjustmentsmadetodataelementsbasedonchangesinincomeassetsandorexpenses.Eachrequestisviewedonacase-by-casebasis.Achangemustbesignificantandadequatelysupportedtoreceiveseriousconsiderationforadjustment.AsmentionedearlierstudentswishingtorequestProfessionalJudgmentshouldsubmitawrittenrequesttoFinancialAidOfficer.BecausetheserequestsoccurregularlyaspecialrequestformisavailableintheFinancialAidOffice.Theformshouldbefullycompletedandshouldbeaccompaniedbyrelevantdocumentation.Incompleteformsarenotconsidered.LivingexpensesLivingexpensesrequireaspecialanalysisofanindividualx19sfinancialneed.CareerTrainingAcademyhasaspecialformavailableforthispurposeanditistheresponsibilityofthestudenttocompletetheformsaccuratelyandwithproperdocumentation.Advancepaymenttostudentsmaybemadeunderthesespecialcircumstancesasdeterminedbytheanalysishoweverduringthefirsttermastudentwillreceivetransportationsupportonly.CAREERTRAININGACADEMYFINANCIALAIDCODEOFCONDUCTCareerTrainingAcademyiscommittedtoprovidingstudentsandtheirfamilieswiththebestinformationandprocessingalternativesavailableregardingstudentborrowing.InsupportofthisandinanefforttoruleoutanyperceivedoractualconflictofinterestbetweenCareerTrainingAcademyofficersemployeesoragentsandeducationloanlendersCareerTrainingAcademyhasadoptedthefollowingCareerTrainingAcademydoesnotparticipateinanyrevenue-sharingarrangementswithanylender.CareerTrainingAcademydoesnotpermitanyofficeremployeeoragentoftheschoolwhoisemployedinthefinancialaidofficeorisotherwiseinvolvedintheadministrationofeducationloanstoacceptanygiftsofgreaterthananominalvaluefromanylenderguarantororservicer.CareerTrainingAcademydoesnotpermitanyofficeremployeeoragentoftheschoolwhoisemployedinthefinancialaidofficeorisotherwiseinvolvedintheadministrationofeducationloanstoacceptanyfeepaymentorotherfinancialbenefitincludingastockpurchaseoptionfromalenderoraffiliateofalenderascompensationforanytypeofconsultingarrangementorcontracttoprovideservicestoalenderoronbehalfofalenderrelatingtoeducationloans.CareerTrainingAcademydoesnotpermitanyofficeremployeeoragentoftheschoolwhoisemployedinthefinancialaidofficeorisotherwiseinvolvedintheadministrationofeducationloanstoacceptanythingofvaluefromalenderguarantororgroupoflendersandorguarantorsinexchangeforserviceonanadvisoryboardcommissionorothergroupestablishedbysuchalenderguarantorgroupoflendersandorguarantors.CareerTrainingAcademydoesallowforthereasonablereimbursementofexpensesassociatedwithparticipationinsuchboardscommissionsorgroupsbylendersguarantorsorgroupsoflendersandorguarantors.CareerTrainingAcademywillnotrequestoracceptanyofferoffundstobeusedforprivateeducationloanstostudentsfromanylenderinexchangeforprovidingthelenderwithaspecifiednumberorvolumeofTitleIVloansorapreferredlenderarrangementforTitleIVloans.TRANSFEROFCREDITSStudentsrequestingtransferofcreditsbecauseofadvancestudyneedtosupplytheadministrationwithtranscriptsandcourseoutlinesforreviewwithin10calendardaysofthescheduledorientation.Requestsandmaterialssubmittedafter10dayswillnotbeaccepted.CareerTrainingAcademyacceptsCorbettergradesfortransfer.Theschoolwillacceptrelateddiplomaanddegreeprogramsfromlicensedschoolsandauthorizeddegree-grantinginstitutions.TransfergradeswillnotenterintotheGradePointAveragecomputation.ThemaximumnumberoftransferhoursacceptedwillbedeterminedbytheDirectororAssistantDirectorandwillbeevaluatedonanindividualbasis.Proficiencytestingandindependentstudymayberequired.CareerTrainingAcademydoesnotacceptadvancedcreditbasedonexperientiallearning.Tuitioncostwillbereducedproportionallywiththereductionofhoursrequiredtocompletetheprogram.FinancialAidmaybeaffectedbecauseofthereducedhoursforgraduation.Allstudentsmusttakeatleast50oftheProgramClockhoursatCareerTrainingAcademy.Therewillbeanadvancedstandingfeeof35.00peradvancedstandingclass.ThestudentmustcompletetheinitialrequestforAdvancedStandingformandprovideofficialtranscriptswithin10calendardaysofthescheduledorientation.Copieswillbeacceptedonlyforevaluationpurposes.Applicantisresponsibleforobtainingofficialtranscriptsandallfeesrelatedtothem.StudentswillbenotifiedinwritingoftransferofcreditsthroughtheAdvancedStandingEvaluation.Decisionsconcerningtheacceptanceofcreditsbyanyinstitutionotherthanthegrantinginstitutionaremadeatthesolediscretionofthereceivinginstitution.Norepresentationismadewhatsoeverconcerningthetransferabilityofanycreditstoanyinstitution.Studentsconsideringcontinuingtheireducationatortransferringtootherinstitutionsmustnotassumethatcreditsearnedatthisschoolwillbeacceptedbythereceivinginstitution.Aninstitutionsaccreditationdoesnotguaranteethatcreditsearnedatthatinstitutionwillbeacceptedfortransferbyanyotherinstitution.Studentsmustcontacttheregistrarofthereceivinginstitutiontodeterminewhatcreditsifanythatinstitutionwillaccept.
