Philosophy and Mission of Career Training Academy
Career Training Academy is an institution of specialized learning that leads to fulfilling high skilled jobs. As a direct result of the education and training at our school, you can expect to enter a new career that provides a better salary and greater benefits!
Our mission for the Academy is to provide the educational environment that enhances not only the educational aspect but also a personal enrichment of all students via our involvement in community service.
Providing instructors who care, hands-on training and a career oriented educational environment is our philosophy at Career Training Academy.
President's Message
Career opportunities abound with high-skilled education in a changing workplace, where three out of four jobs now require a technical or business skill, post secondary high-skilled education is giving students the hands-on experience they need to get good jobs. Education leads to employment with greater salary potentials and benefits.
High-skilled education, as opposed to traditional academic education, provides training in specialized career fields in two years or less so students can enter the job market sooner. Achieving certification in your field of study is an additional benefit to the training we provide.

CAREER TRAINING ACADEMY FORMS TRAINING PARTNERSHIP WITH CHILDREN'S COMMUNITY PEDIATRICS
Medical Assistant Comprehensive students (a 16 month Associate in Specialized Technology Degree Program) may complete externships at Children's Community Pediatrics.
Students who have a special interest in working with Children's Community Pediatrics, a subsidiary of Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, will have the opportunity to have a practical learning experience via externship experience in an environment dedicated to quality care for children.
Medical Assistant Comprehensive students and Advanced Medical Coder/Biller students may choose to extern at any of the Children's Community Pediatrics offices in Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Washington and Westmoreland counties.
